Goldmine's auditorium is designed for performance. Some of its special features include:

The Auditorium is suitable for large meetings, conferences, performance, concerts, theatre productions, drama education, displays/presentation/exhibitions and training.

The Vine Trust is developing partnerships with Wolverhampton University and Saltmine Theatre and other theatre companies/promoters of concerts to deliver a new, quality, theatre and live performance venue in Walsall, with its heart in education and young people, but also accommodating productions/events for all ages. We aim to provide:

• An eclectic, engaging theatre programme, appealing to a wide audience
• Theatre rehearsal and venue
• Theatre space available for travelling companies
• Theatre space available for schools.

Big Centre TV
Big Centre TV is the local TV channel for Birmingham, Walsall, Wolverhampton, Solihull and The Black Country.

It broadcasts on Freeview channel 8 in the UK. Ofcom-licensed in 2014, it launched in February 2015. It is owned by Kaleidoscope TV Ltd, and headquartered at the Goldmine Centre. It has a unique partnership with Walsall studio enabling young people to achieve industry-recognised qualifications, build relationships with employers and get into employment or university. Big Centre TV utilises the centre’s state-of-the-art technical facilities and Walsall Studio School’s students, train alongside experienced TV broadcasters professionals.

The channel is the largest UK local channel outside London. It is transmitted from the Sutton Coldfield and Brierley Hill antennae to an estimated audience of 2.3m viewers on Freeview, it’s primary broadcast platform. It offers a wide range of genuinely local content featuring live news, sport, entertainment and children’s’ programming. The channel is a commercial entity, offering local and national advertisers and brands an integrated range of audience engagement and opportunities.

Theatre in Residence
Initially The Vine Trust are developing a non-exclusive Theatre in Residence offer with a locally based theatre, Saltmine. The aim is to:

a. Establish a theatre performance presence in Walsall
b. Develop a viable "theatre in education" offer, in partnership with the forthcoming Walsall Studio School and wider educational institutions.

Saltmine will put on a production every quarter, with other dramatics groups and theatre groups also coming to Goldmine, along with other live entertainment.

Theatre in Education Plans for linking education with the arts and performance include:

• Summer schools (theatre and drama skills)
• CPD for teaching professionals
• Arts Award Welcome Centre
• Training for other teachers on developing and delivering a creative curricula
• Theatre activities to support KS1, KS2, KS3 KS4, FE, HE
• Wider usage of auditorium across other curriculum areas (e.g. Wellcome Trust scientific road-shows and lectures)
